The Department of Civil Engineering, Sobhasaria Group of Institutions, organised an Industrial Guest Lecture on “Essential Requirements and Properties of Concrete” to provide students with practical industry insights and technical knowledge. Amish Bishani, RTSM at Adani Cement, addressed the students and discussed key aspects of concrete quality, including workability, strength, durability, impermeability, cohesion, crack resistance, and proper setting and hardening. He also highlighted practical quality-control measures, industry requirements, and career opportunities in the construction sector. Students actively interacted with the expert and received detailed responses to their technical queries. Dr. Harshita Garg, Dr. Ruchi Sharma, Vijay Jangid, faculty members, and students attended the session. Group Registrar Pradeep Sharma emphasised that industry–academia interactions help bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical skills while enhancing students’ technical knowledge and employability.
